This principle of balance is reflected in the dojo, where students of different ages and ranks train together.

Martial arts are also a great social activity, as students enjoy a sense of camaraderie with their peers and with teachers. They often develop a deep mutual respect for one another and can rely on their partners to support them in times of need.
